A Heartfelt King County Courthouse Wedding

There’s something incredibly special about a courthouse wedding. No fuss, no frills—just two people, madly in love, committing their lives to one another. X & W’s wedding day was a perfect example of that.

After a few days of typical Seattle gloom, the weather shifted, giving way to a gorgeous afternoon. The day began at the Seattle Arboretum, where the vibrant greens came alive under the soft sunlight. It was the perfect backdrop for their portraits—calm, serene, and brimming with natural beauty. They walked hand-in-hand, savoring these peaceful moments together before heading off to say their vows.

The King County Courthouse provided the ideal setting for their intimate ceremony. The simplicity of the space brought all the focus to the couple and their emotions. During the vows, both X & W shed tears, creating a deeply moving and heartfelt moment. It was a reminder of what weddings are truly about—raw love, commitment, and the beauty of choosing each other forever.

I asked the group for a “funny” picture.

The celebration didn’t end there. After the ceremony, their friends gathered outside the courthouse to cheer them on. Confetti flew as they shared their first moments as newlyweds, surrounded by love and support. It was a spontaneous, joyful moment that perfectly capped off the day.

The magic of X & W’s wedding lay in its simplicity and authenticity. Every detail—from the lush greenery of the arboretum to the emotional exchange of vows—reflected the purity of their love story. This courthouse wedding was a beautiful reminder of how meaningful an intimate celebration can be.
